Story library

Read-only starter novels, placeholder art and how to replace it.

The library on /visualnovel holds authored adult novels imported from vn-library. Each entry is prebuilt and plays without an account at /visualnovel/library/<slug>; nothing is compiled per request.

Entries are complete branching scripts with a generated cover and icon, generated placeholder backgrounds and character art under game/images/, and audio only where a novel has been scored — most are silent. assets.json in each entry lists every placeholder file and any audio credits; the marketplace page states the current counts.

Fork an entry to get its scripts, notes/premise.md, notes/beats.md and placeholders in your own project. Replace a file in game/images/ with generated or licensed art and the script needs no changes; add music with play music once audio exists.

Re-import or refresh the library with bun scripts/import-vn-library.mjs from the netwrck repo root. Novels that fail renpy-js lint are skipped and reported.
