Yoshino Shimazu is a sickly high school student who is a member of the student council. She is also a member of the LGBT+ community and has a crush on her classmate, Mariya Shidou. Yoshino is a kind and caring person, but she can also be shy and reserved. She is often bullied by her classmates, but she tries to stand up for herself. Yoshino is a complex and well-developed character who is a valuable addition to the Maria-sama ga Miteru series.
