Tom Kaulitz is a German musician and songwriter, best known as the guitarist and backup vocalist for the pop-rock band Tokio Hotel. Born on September 1, 1989, in Leipzig, Germany, Tom grew up in a family of musicians and began playing guitar at a young age. He and his twin brother, Bill, formed Tokio Hotel in 2001 and quickly gained popularity in their home country.
