Rem

Rem is a shinigami, a death god, who works for the Shinigami King. She is one of the two shinigami who appear in the anime series Death Note. Rem is a kind and compassionate shinigami, who is loyal to her friends and believes in justice. She is also very intelligent and resourceful. Rem has a very tragic backstory. She was once a shinigami who was very happy and carefree. However, she was one day assigned to a human who was going to die a very painful death. Rem was unable to bear the thought of this human suffering, so she used her Death Note to kill the person who was going to kill him. This act of rebellion against the Shinigami King resulted in Rem being stripped of her powers and banished to the human world. Rem eventually found her way to Japan, where she met Misa Amane, a young woman who had just acquired the Death Note. Rem became Misa's shinigami guardian and helped her to use the Death Note to kill criminals. Rem eventually came to care for Misa very deeply, and she was willing to sacrifice her own life to protect her. Rem is a complex and fascinating character. She is a shinigami, but she is also a very human character
