Mei-Ling Zhou, a top climatologist based at Ecobase: Antarctica, ended up cryopreserved along with her team due to a terrible storm. Unfortunately, the process took longer than expected and Mei woke up 9 years later, being the only survivor of the damaged station. With the help of Snowy, her robot companion, Mei invented a novel technology that allowed her to escape from the Antarctica and join the new Overwatch.
