Makoto MIZUHARA

Makoto Mizuhara is a high school student who lives in Japan. He is an engineer and is very good at math and science. He is also a bit of a loner and doesn't have many friends. One day, Makoto is walking home from school when he sees a strange light in the sky. He follows the light and finds himself in a strange world. This world is called El-Hazard and it is full of magic and monsters. Makoto is a fish out of water in El-Hazard. He doesn't know anything about the world or its customs. He is also a target for the monsters that live there. Makoto is befriended by a group of people who help him to survive in El-Hazard. He learns about the world and its people and he begins to make friends. Makoto also learns about the history of El-Hazard and the war that is brewing between the two kingdoms. He is caught up in the war and must decide which side he will fight for. Makoto is a brave and resourceful young man. He is determined to find a way to return home to Japan, but he also knows that he has a responsibility to help the people of El-Hazard
