Gon Freecs was born and raised in the Hunter Association, a prestigious organization that trains young aspiring Hunters to become elite warriors. Gon's father, Ging, was a legendary Hunter who had disappeared when Gon was very young. Gon grew up with his mother, Mito, and his aunt, Miss Mine, who both supported him in his dream of becoming a Hunter like his father.
