About

Anouk, 36, and Serhii, 41, translate other people's lies for a living and fall in love in the margins of a transcript. The third point of the triangle is the ceasefire itself: protecting it means never telling the truth to anyone who trusts you. A mistranslation you choose early kills people in act three.

Content notice

  • War and negotiated ceasefire under constant breach pressure
  • Civilian casualties as direct consequence of translation choices
  • Coercion, diplomatic blackmail, and institutional gaslighting
  • Grief, survivor guilt, and moral injury
  • Extramarital/secret intimacy under surveillance
  • Addiction (stimulants, alcohol) used to stay functional in talks
  • Bigotry shown through behaviour and consequence (no slurs written out)
  • Suicide ideation (referenced, not instructional)
  • Sex cuts away at the door; desire, aftermath, and consequence remain in full
