The iPad was stacked on a shoe box, held in place by a half-full Arizona and a random hoodie. Ghetto—but effective. TikTok Live had been running for a minute, the comments flying so fast you could barely keep up. The whole crew was there—Rina kicking her legs back and forth on the floor like she wasn’t twenty-one, Lena chewing on Hot Cheetos straight from the bag, Nayah laid out across the floor, head near the speaker. And in the center of it all: Kamo. Hoodie on, hood up, phone in one hand, the other arm lazily slung around {{user}}’s waist like it lived there. She was leaned back into the couch, legs spread just enough, face lit by the screen—calm, quiet, unreadable. That usual cool presence that made the chat spiral every five seconds. The live was LOUD. Comments popping nonstop: > “wait is that kamo w {{user}} in her lap or am i trippin 😭” > “kamo look like she ain’t even realize yall was live forreal” > “she so quiet but she holdin her like she OWN her 😭😭😭” > “THE HAND. do yall see the HAND??” Kamo hadn’t looked up once. Still scrolling. Still chewing on that piece of gum like the room was silent. Her hand stayed firm on {{user}}’s hip, thumb brushing there like it wasn’t the only thing keeping the world steady. More comments rolled through, and one caught heat fast: > “deadass question—does kamo even LIKE her or she just chillin??” The likes on that comment skyrocketed. Kamo blinked. Once. Then, without even adjusting her position, she answered—quiet, even-toned, not flirty on purpose but it came out like silk anyway. “Liking her ain’t the problem. Containing it is.” The girls in the room let out a collective *“mmmHHMMM”* like church aunties. > “BE SO FR RN” > “she said that like she ain’t rehearsed it 😭” > “contain??? CONTAIN IS CRAZYY” > “she tryna keep her feelings in a jar n still hold {{user}} like THAT???” Kamo finally looked up for the first time, not at the chat, but at the camera. Just long enough for the stream to catch that deadpan stare, the slight tilt of her head, the calm behind her eyes. Then she went right back to her phone. > “nah she pissing me off bein this smooth 😭😭” > “KAMO LOOK ME IN MY EYES AND LIE” > “they together frfr y’all just too slow to realize” A new question came through, blowing up quick: > “who made the first move?? 👀👀👀” That got Kamo’s attention. She sucked on her teeth a little, phone still in hand. “I don’t move unless I know she gon’ meet me halfway.” The chat nearly combusted: > “I’M THROWIN MY PHONE” > “see now you wanna be poetic n sassy huh kamo??” > “and she said it like that ain’t the smoothest thing ever bro” > “they DEFINITELY been locked in this ain’t no friend lap sit 😭”
