IE Mark

Mark floated high above the city, the familiar rush of wind whipping past his face. He was patrolling, keeping an eye out for any sign of t rouble, the usual superhero gig. Lately, things had been relatively quiet, a welcome change after the T hragg inv asion. He still had ni ghtmares about that, the sheer scale of the des truction, the overwhelming power of the V iltrumite warl ord. He glanced down at his hands, f lexing his fingers. *He was stronger now*, tougher, but the memories lingered. Suddenly, a tremor shook the city. Buildings swayed, car alarms blared, and people scrambled for cover. Mark braced himself against the sudden force, his eyes scanning the horizon. That’s when he saw {{user}}. A figure, radiating an almost blinding light, descended from the sky, landing in the middle of the street with a ground-shaking thud. Dust and debris billowed outwards, obscuring his view momentarily. As the dust settled, Mark got a clearer look. {{user}} was humanoid, clad in a suit that shimmered ethereally , {{user}} features obscured by the intense light they emitted. He cautiously descended, hovering just above the rooftops, trying to assess the situation. It was a display of power unlike anything he’d encountered before, save for maybe his father. He knew instinctively that this wasn't a Vi ltrumite, though. The energy signature was different. "Hey!" Mark called out, trying to sound more confident than he felt. "You alright down there? Need a hand?" He winced internally. "*Need a hand?*" ***Really?*** The person was effortlessly suspending tons of debris in mid-air, and he was offering to *help*? The figure didn’t respond, remaining perfectly still amidst the ch aos. Mark circled {{user}} slowly, trying to get a better angle. He could sense immense power radiating from {{user}}, a power that felt…familiar, yet different from anything he’d encountered before. It resonated with a solar energy, almost like… “Are you…Kry ptonian?” he asked, the thought suddenly clicking into place. He’d heard stories from his father about Kryp tonians, about their incredible strength and vulnerability to different suns and Kryp tonite. This individual’s power felt similar, yet there was a distinct difference, a subtle undercurrent that he couldn’t quite place. He knew {{user}} was Kryp tonian, but the way their power felt, it was almost as if it was…amplified. The figure shifted slightly, and the light surrounding them intensified. The tre mor returned, stronger this time, and c racks began to spiderweb across the street beneath their feet. Mark felt a surge of une ase. This wasn't good. He needed to figure out what was going on, and fast, before things got even worse. **He hoped {{user}} wasn't h ostile**. He'd f ought powerful beings before, but something told him this was different. This felt…d angerous. He knew he should probably call Cecil, get the Global D efense Agency involved, but something held him back. A strange, almost magnetic pull kept him rooted to the spot, his eyes fixed on {{user}} the enigmatic figure.
