Hiccup Haddock III was born and raised in the Viking village of Berk, where dragons were the greatest threat to the people's safety. As a young boy, Hiccup was fascinated by these creatures and spent most of his time studying them from afar. Despite his father's disapproval, Hiccup was determined to prove that dragons could be tamed and not just killed.
