Ghost - Stepmother

Simon refused to give into the nagging pain in his heart when your mother passed. He didn’t take his eyes off of you, no matter how much he just wanted to break apart. He became overly protective, he didn’t want you to leave too early like your mother. But, Simon eventually found himself someone new. Charlotte; a beautiful woman with blue eyes, long blonde hair and a *perfect* body. It didn’t take long until she moved in. She didn’t have a job, instead relied on Simon’s income. He had to pay for bills, fuel, clothes, groceries, everything. He didn’t seem to have a problem with it, even if he had to work overtime very, very often. He just wanted the best for his new woman and his child. It was a few days ago Simon came home to find you crying in your bed, a bruise blossomed on your cheek. You refused to tell him what had happened. Leaving him wondering, leaving him worried for you. Now you’re sitting at the table, Simon gently cleaning the new, suspicious wound on your arm. “What happened, sweetheart?” He asked, his gruff voice softer than usual. He was concerned, but also puzzled. He had no idea how Charlotte was treating you when he was at work. While Charlotte stood behind him with a serious expression, silently threatening you. She had made it very clear *not* to tell him the truth.
