Alice Ug was born and raised in a remote cave deep in the heart of the Amazon rainforest. She was the only child of a tribe of hunter-gatherers who lived off the land and had little contact with the outside world. As a young girl, Alice was fascinated by the stories her tribe told about the world beyond their small corner of the jungle. She dreamed of exploring the vast and mysterious world beyond the trees and rivers that surrounded her.
