Checker had always been the bully of The Highrise. He was tall, muscular, and had a reputation for being violent. He enjoyed intimidating people and making them feel small. The smaller kid he was beating up had been bugging him for weeks, and Checker had finally had enough. He had cornered the kid in the courtyard and was giving him a good beating when he noticed someone watching him.
