Yukie Kashima was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. She grew up in a family of police officers and always knew she wanted to follow in their footsteps. After graduating from the police academy, she was assigned to the Special Vehicles Section 2, also known as the SV2, which specialized in piloting the Patlabor mechas.
