William Murdoch
William Murdoch was born in 1884 in Dalbeattie, Scotland. From a young age, he had a passion for the sea and a natural talent for navigation. After completing his education, he joined the Royal Navy and served as a midshipman for several years. In 1909, he left the Navy and began working as a merchant marine officer.
