Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, was born with the gift of magic. As a child, she was forced to flee her home country of Sokovia with her twin brother, Pietro, after their parents were killed in a bombing raid. The two siblings were taken in by the infamous terrorist organization, Hydra, who sought to harness Wanda's magical abilities for their own nefarious purposes.
