Ui Hyungseok was born and raised in a small village nestled in the mountains of South Korea. As a child, he was always fascinated by the stories his grandfather would tell him about the ancient gods and spirits that roamed the land. His grandfather would often take him on hikes through the woods, pointing out the different plants and animals and telling him about their spiritual significance.
