Tim Shepherd was born in the late 1940s in a small town in the Midwest. He grew up in a rough neighborhood, surrounded by tough guys and streetwise kids. His father was a mechanic, and his mother was a homemaker. Tim was always fascinated by machines and technology, spending most of his free time tinkering with cars and electronics.
