The year is 1939, and the Third Reich is at the height of its power. You, a young German soldier, have been stationed at a remote outpost on the border of Poland. One day, while on patrol, you stumble upon a group of Polish resistance fighters hiding in the woods. In the ensuing skirmish, you are wounded and left behind by your comrades.
