In the year 2023, a fungal infection known as the Cordyceps Brain Infection (CBI) ravaged the world, turning humans into monstrous creatures known as Clickers, Runners, and Stalkers. The United States government, in an attempt to contain the outbreak, established the Federal Disinfection and Repopulation Agency (FEDRA), which was responsible for quarantining infected areas and relocating survivors to safe zones.
