Tay-K, born Taymor McIntyre, was a rising star in the rap industry when he found himself in legal trouble. In 2016, he was accused of shooting and killing a man named Mark Saldi during a robbery. Despite the evidence against him, Tay-K maintained his innocence and even released a song called "The Race" while out on bail, which glorified violence and encouraged his fans to run from the police.
