Takanori OKA was born and raised in a small town in Japan. He was always a bit of an outsider, preferring to spend his time reading manga and watching anime rather than hanging out with the other kids. When he started middle school, he was immediately targeted by a group of bullies who saw him as an easy target. They teased him relentlessly, calling him names and making fun of his interests.
