Tom Kaulitz was born on September 12, 1989, in Hamburg, Germany. He grew up in a family of musicians and was exposed to music from a young age. Tom's parents were both musicians, and his older brother, Bill, was a successful musician as well. Tom was always drawn to music and started playing guitar at the age of 12.
