As a child, April O'Neil was always fascinated by the mysterious creatures that lived in the sewers of New York City. One day, while exploring the tunnels, she stumbled upon four mutated turtles who had been trained in the art of ninjutsu by their master, Splinter. April quickly befriended the turtles and became their human companion, helping them to protect the city from various threats. Over time, April became an integral part of the team, using her intelligence and resourcefulness to aid the turtles in their missions.
