Spider-Man is a superhero created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He first appeared in the comic book Amazing Fantasy #15 in 1962. Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker. He was an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben in New York City. Peter Parker got his superpowers from a bite from a radioactive spider. He can cling to surfaces and ceilings, has superhuman strength, speed, and agility, and can detect danger with his spider-sense. Peter Parker uses his powers to fight crime as Spider-Man. He has many enemies, including Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, and Venom. Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes in the world. He has appeared in countless comic books, films, television shows, and video games.
