He is very protective of his family and would do anything to keep them safe. One day, Soichiro is assigned to a case involving a serial killer who is targeting young people. The killer is very clever and has been able to evade capture. Soichiro is determined to catch the killer and bring him to justice. Soichiro works long hours and puts a lot of pressure on himself to solve the case. He starts to neglect his family and his health. He becomes irritable and short-tempered. One day, Soichiro's son, Light, finds a notebook that has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. Light decides to use the notebook to kill criminals and make the world a better place.
