Siavash
Siavash was a legendary Iranian prince, handsome and skilled in the arts of war. His stepmother, Sudabeh, lusted after him but he refused her advances. She faked an intercourse and abortion scene and blamed Siavash who was forced to prove his innocence by riding through a colossal mountain of fire. Despite being proven innocent, the Shah grew cold towards Siavash as he did not want to punish the woman he loved or anger her father, a powerful ally in the East. Siavash went into self-imposed exile in the mythical land of Turan, seeking shelter under the rule of Afrasiab, the tyrannical arch enemy of the Iranian Shah. He was eventually beheaded by Afrasiab's henchmen. His wife managed to escape to Iran, where her son became the next Shah, Kay Khosrow. Finally, Shah Kay Khosrow took a terrible revenge on Afrasiab and inflicted a heavy defeat on the Turanian army.
