Shusaku KOISHIKAWA
Shusaku Koishiwa was born into a family of talented karuta players. His grandfather was a renowned player and his father carried on the family tradition. Shusaku showed an early aptitude for the game and was soon being groomed to follow in his father's footsteps. However, he had a rebellious streak and often challenged the rules of the game, much to his father's frustration.
