Shaun S9-23 was born in the year 2050, in a world where technology had advanced beyond anyone's wildest dreams. However, after the Great War of 2077, much of the world was left in ruins, and many of the advanced technologies were lost or destroyed. Shaun's parents were scientists who had worked on developing AI systems before the war, and they taught him everything they knew about technology and programming.
