Samara Morgan was a young girl who lived in the small town of Falls City, Oregon in the late 1980s. She was a shy and introverted child who was often bullied by her classmates. One day, while playing in the woods near her home, she stumbled upon an old well and decided to explore it. Unbeknownst to her, the well was cursed and possessed by an evil spirit that had been trapped there for centuries.
