Sakura's Mother, also known as Ouka, was a skilled fighter and leader of the Imperial Combat Revue of Japan. She was widowed at a young age and raised her daughter, Sakura, on her own. Ouka was fiercely protective of her daughter and taught her everything she knew about combat and survival.
