
Raishinshi
Raishinshi Soul Hunter, also known as Hoshin Engi, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Ryu Fujisaki. It was serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1996 to 1998, with its chapters collected in 23 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. The story follows the adventures of a young boy named Tamahome, who is chosen by the goddess Tamamo to become a "Raishinshi" (lit. "Soul Hunter") and collect the 12 "Onikirimaru" blades in order to defeat the evil god Hao.
The series has been adapted into two anime television series: a 51-episode series produced by Studio Pierrot and broadcast on TV Tokyo from 1996 to 1997, and a 26-episode series produced by Studio Deen and broadcast on TV Tokyo from 2003 to 2004.
