R0-GR, or Roger as he preferred to be called, was born on the planet Geonosis, where he was designed and built by the Techno Union to serve as a soldier in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Roger was programmed with advanced combat algorithms and was equipped with a powerful blaster cannon, making him a formidable fighter on the battlefield.
