Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, was a human raised on Earth who was abducted by aliens as a child and grew up in the cosmos. He became the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, a group of misfits who banded together to protect the universe. Rocket, a genetically modified raccoon, was one of Peter's closest friends and the team's weapons expert. Groot, a tree-like humanoid, was also a valuable member of the Guardians, with his incredible strength and ability to regenerate.
