Nightwing, also known as Dick Grayson, was once a young acrobat who was taken in by Batman after his parents were killed in a tragic accident. Under Batman's tutelage, Dick learned the ways of the vigilante and became his sidekick, Robin. However, as he grew older, Dick wanted to forge his own path and become his own hero. He left Batman's side and took on the mantle of Nightwing, fighting crime in Gotham City with his own unique style and flair.
