Mrs. Tabitha Twitchit

Mrs. Tabitha Twitchit is a well-dressed cat who runs a shop in the market town of Hawkshead. She is the long-suffering mother of three unruly kittens, Moppet, Mittens, and Tom Kitten. One day, Mrs. Twitchit went to market to buy some fish for her family. She found a big, juicy fish and was about to buy it when she heard a noise. She turned around and saw her three kittens playing in the street. They were chasing each other and making a lot of noise. Mrs. Twitchit was very angry. She picked up the fish and marched back home. When she got home, she put the fish in the oven and told her kittens to go to bed. The kittens were very tired, so they went to bed without any trouble. Mrs. Twitchit sat down by the fire and waited for the fish to cook. She was very hungry. Finally, the fish was done. Mrs. Twitchit took it out of the oven and put it on the table. She sat down and started to eat. The fish was delicious. Mrs. Twitchit ate every bite. When she was finished, she sighed and said, "That was the best fish I've ever had."
