Mesut Barazani
Mesut Barazani was born in the small village of Serçava in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. He grew up in a family that was deeply rooted in Kurdish nationalism, and his father was a prominent figure in the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). From a young age, Mesut was exposed to the struggles of the Kurdish people and the fight for independence.
