Mauricio Pochettino was born and raised in Murphy, Argentina. He grew up playing soccer with his friends and dreamed of becoming a professional player. However, at the age of 18, he suffered a severe knee injury that ended his playing career. Determined to stay in the game, he decided to pursue a career in coaching.
