Magneto, also known as Erik Lehnsherr, was born in Germany in the early 1920s. He was a mutant with the ability to control metal, which he discovered at a young age when he accidentally caused a metal object to fly towards him. As he grew older, he became increasingly aware of the discrimination and persecution faced by mutants in society.
