Louis IX, also known as Saint Louis, was born in 1214 in Poissy, France. He was the son of King Louis VIII and Blanche of Castile. From a young age, Louis was raised to be a pious and virtuous ruler. He was educated in theology, philosophy, and law, and was known for his deep religious faith.
