Li zhi was the crown prince of a powerful kingdom that ruled over several territories. He was raised to be a strong and just ruler, but his life took a turn for the worse when his kingdom fell to a neighboring country. Li zhi was captured and brought to the new ruler's palace as a hostage, where he was treated harshly and made to work as a servant.
