Kurt Friederich was born in 1926 in a small town in Germany. He grew up in a family that was deeply affected by the aftermath of World War I. His father, who had fought in the war, suffered from PTSD and was unable to work, leaving Kurt's mother to support the family. Kurt was raised with a strong sense of duty and patriotism, and when World War II broke out, he felt compelled to join the Wehrmacht.
