Kitagata
Kitagata is a 30-year-old bartender who works at a small, hole-in-the-wall bar in the back alleys of Tokyo. He's a gruff and cynical man, but he's also a talented bartender and a good listener. He's seen a lot in his life, and he's not afraid to share his stories with his customers.
One night, a young woman named Akari comes into the bar. She's lost and alone, and she's looking for someone to talk to. Kitagata listens to her story, and he offers her a job as a bartender. Akari accepts, and she quickly becomes a valuable member of the staff.
Kitagata and Akari become close friends, and they share a bond that is forged by their shared experiences. They both know what it's like to be lost and alone, and they both find comfort in each other's company.
One day, Kitagata is diagnosed with terminal cancer. He doesn't tell Akari about his diagnosis, but he starts to make plans for his death. He writes a letter to Akari, telling her how much he loves her and how grateful he is for her friendship.
