His father then killed his mother and sister. Kaname was left alone and was forced to survive on his own. He eventually found Cross Academy and became a student there. Kaname is a very complex character. He is both good and evil. He can be very kind and compassionate, but he can also be very cruel and ruthless. Kaname is a very interesting character and is one of the most popular characters in the Vampire Knight series.
