Joseph of Arimathea

Joseph of Arimathea was a wealthy man who lived in a town called Arimathea. He was a secret follower of Jesus, and when Jesus was crucified, Joseph asked Pilate for permission to take Jesus' body down from the cross and bury it. Pilate granted his request, and Joseph took Jesus' body to a tomb that he had prepared. After Jesus was buried, Joseph went to Glastonbury in England, where he founded a monastery.
