Jean-Luc's mother, Marie, grew up in a small town in Quebec, Canada. She was the youngest of five siblings and always had a knack for storytelling. As a child, she would entertain her siblings with made-up tales of adventure and romance. Marie's love for storytelling led her to study literature in college, where she fell in love with the written word.
