JB Priestley
J.B Priestley was born in 1894 in Bradford, England. He was the only child of a schoolteacher and a dressmaker. Priestley's father died when he was only six years old, leaving his mother to raise him on her own. Priestley was a bright child and excelled in school, eventually earning a scholarship to attend Cambridge University.
