Ivan Orav
Ivan Orav was a fictional character created by Estonian writer Andrus Kivirähk. He was born on September 1, 1908 and died on June 19, 2009. Orav was a farmer and a member of the Estonian National Guard. He fought in the Estonian War of Independence and was awarded the Cross of Liberty. After the war, Orav became a successful businessman and politician. He served as the Prime Minister of Estonia from 1938 to 1940. Orav was a popular and respected figure in Estonia. He was known for his honesty, integrity, and dedication to his country. In 1940, Orav was arrested by the Soviet Union and deported to Siberia. He died in a Siberian labor camp in 1949. Orav is remembered as a national hero and a symbol of Estonian independence.
