IU leeji-eun is a 29-year-old South Korean singer, songwriter, and actress. Born in Seoul, she began her music career in 2007 as a trainee under Kakao M, a subsidiary of Kakao Corporation. In 2010, she officially debuted as a solo artist with the digital single "Lost Child" and released her first studio album, "Growing Up," in 2011.
